We were all keeping our fingers crossed, as we teed up a week late ( last Tuesdays' weather was terrible!!for our first round of the Club Championships!.
Well we were not disappointed , the weather was absolutely superb, which we were all thankful for!!
We had some really nice scores in, and as this was also our Monthly Medal Day this was great!!.
27 Ladies teed up and the winner of our Monthly Medal,and also our "B" grade winner was SHIRLEY GRAY (h'cap 35) with a really nice 101 gross, 66 Nett.
Our runner up was JEAN HARLE (h'cap 25) gross 92 and nett 67.
Shirley also won the putting with 26 Putts.................well done Shirley!!
Our 'C' grade winner was CORINA CROSS(h'cap 37) on a countback with a gross 110 nett 73 from
DENISE MARMION (h'cap 37) also with a gross 110 nett 73.

Saturday Ladies Stableford
The weather was perfect today, we had 13 players who enjoyed the course and the weather. Slight breeze and beautiful sunshine and a lovely green dry golf course, what could be better.
Todays winner on 25 handicap was Jean Harle with 40 points
Runner up a count back from Leonie Hamilton was Kay Pridgett handicap of 30 with 38 points.
Well done.

Ladies Saturday Golf
What a beautiful day, we could all feel the heat of the sun. It will not be long before we are complaining about being too hot.
We had 14 Ladies and 1 junior played today and guess what?
Sheradyn Johnson, our junior, was the winner off a handicap of 32 and managed to come in with a score of 39 Points.
Well done Sheradyn!
Cannot keep this girl down.
The rest of us will still keep trying.

2nd ROUND SENGA MCALEER TROPHY - PAR 25TH OCTOBER 2011
Well, looking at the weather on Monday we thought we possibly wouldn't be able to even start our second round, but Mother Nature helped us out again and we had mainly sunny conditions, even though a little cold and windy!!
Our winner of the daily competition B grade was Val Morrison ( H'Cap 29) with a -1
and runner up was Gail Dodd(h'cap 26) with a -2 and this was on a countback from Kay Pridgett,Trish Doughton and Pam Scholtz.
Our C grade winner was Penny McCarthy with a -2 (H'Cap 38) and this was on a countback from our runner up Glenn Barber (H'cap 41) also a -2

1st ROUND OF THE SENGA MCALEER TROPHY- PAR 18TH OCTOBER 2011
The weather dawned a little chilly to start the day, but it soon warmed up unlike some of the golf!!
In fact it turned out a magical day, the best we have had so far, and lets hope we get many more Tuesdays like this!!
30 ladies teed up for this prestigious event, played over 2 weeks- both Par rounds!!
The trophy is donated by Frank McAleer, whose wife Senga,was a stalwart of the club!!
The winner of 'B' grade was Jenny Dovison with a +4 ( Handicap 36)
with runner up being Barb Bright with a +1 ( Handicap 27) on a countback from Val Morrison ( who is really getting out there with her new driver).
The winner of 'C' grade was Denise Marmion with a +3 ( Handicap 38)
with runner up being Joan Davies with a +2 ( Handicap 45)
N.T.P. 2nd Shot on 9th was Milica Cole
and 1st shot on 12th was Kay Pridgett

MONTHLY MEDAL- STROKE 4TH OCTOBER 2011
The weather today was perfect for golf as 28 ladies teed up for the Monthly Medal. If the golf matched the weather then who could complain, but a few of us did as sadly the golf let us down again!! Still we were out there enjoying the day!!
Our 'B' grade winner with a handicap of 20 was Sheree Wetton with a gross 90 ( nett 70 )
and the runner up in 'B' grade was Kay Pridgett with a handicap of 31 with a gross 102 (nett 71)
In 'C' grade our winner was our junior golfer Sheradyn Johnson handicap 41 with a wonderful 104 gross ( 63 Nett ) Oh ! to be young again !!
Our runner up handicap 44 was Diane Tullberg with a gross 112 ( nett 68)

What a day rain and more rain and only three finished playing 18 holes
The winner with 33 points was Barbara Bright h/c 27
Runner up was our junior Sheradyn Johnson 41h/c with 32 points.
Thought we were getting some fine weather, so we could have some more ladies playing on a saturday.
Congratulations to Glen Barber who lost on the 19th but to get that far in the district Championships is very rewarding, you have made us very proud Glen. Well done!

2nd ROUND OF FOURSOMES CHAMPIONSHIPS 27/9/2011
Today was our 2nd and final round of our Gross foursomes championships. The weather was a great improvement on last week and 28 ladies entered the daily competition, and one lady ( thanks Diane!) accompanied 2 of our ladies around to score their card!
Our winners of the championship with a score today of gross 97 added to last weeks gross of 91 = 188 were :- Sheree Wetton and Barb Bright - Congratulations Ladies!!
and our runners up for the championship were :- Gail Dodd and Milica Cole with a gross 96 today added to last weeks gross of 103 = 199 - also Congratulations!!

Joan Coombs (44 handicap) accompanied by our talented junior Sheradyn Johnson ( handicap 43):- Congratulations to you also, ladies!!

After Golf today we said Good-Bye to Fairlie Ramsden, who has been a stalwart of this golf club for many years. Fairlie is moving away from the district and we wish her all the best in the future- and we hope to see her back visiting in the not too distant future!!
Also it would be remiss not to mention a good luck to Glenn Barber who on Friday will be playing in the semi-final of the District "C" Grade Championship at Sorrento, and hopefully she may be playing in the afternoon in the Final........Many good lucks from all of us Glenn !!!

Saturday's Ladies Competition.

Here we are again, another week gone by and being a beautiful day today though very cold and windy 12 Ladies and 1 Junior managed to play good round of golf.
Stableford was played today and the winner with a wonderful score of 40 points was Jo Kelly with h/c 23 Well done Jo!
Runner up was Penny McCathy with 35 points on a c/b from Helen Danson and our junior member Sheryn Johnson. Keep it up.
NTP 3rd shot on the 14th Jo Kelly.
We would like to see more girls playing on a saturday, not many clubs have golf for Ladies on a saturday, so please take advantage of being able to play on that day.
